My name is C.K. Gemmell. I am a 30-something mother, a full time graduate student and a writer. My memoir vignette was published in an anthology in 2016. I am currently working on my graduate thesis, and in the little spare time I have, a novel. I am fascinated with “place,” particularly with analyzing how women develop a sense of place and whether or not a deeply developed sense of place can heal the divide between the internal and external landscape. These questions keep me awake at night! I am a bibliophile, an anglophile, and have a deep admiration and respect for the various cultures, rituals, and beliefs which comprise humanity. I attempt to rekindle the magic I once felt and know it is lying dormant, waiting to be renewed.
